Latino Leaders Host Presidential Candidates Forum Shining Spotlight on Latino CommunitySenators Clinton, Biden, Gravel to Appear WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) today announced details of its Presidential Candidates Forum, part of its 2007 Public Policy Conference. Hispanic Members of Congress will take part in the event that currently features Senators Hillary Clinton (NY) and Joseph Biden (DE), and former Alaska Senator Mike Gravel. All presidential candidates of both parties have been invited to attend and several confirmations remain outstanding. CHCI hosts the Forum in partnership with the National Council of La Raza, (NCLR), National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO), and the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). The event is sponsored by AARP and the Access to Capital Coalition. The Presidential Candidates Forum will receive extensive media coverage through partnerships with Comcast and NBC/Telemundo, ensuring that Latinos and all Americans have access to the forum. The event will be moderated by José Díaz-Balart, co-anchor of
Telemundo Network’s “Cada día” morning program. CHCI chairman Hon.
