CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
CHCI requests submissions from artists
nationwide for the 2008 Latinos in Arts & Culture Silent
Auction. Auction proceeds will benefit CHCI scholarship and
leadership development programs.
This year’s theme for its 2008 Hispanic
Heritage Month events is “The Power to Make the Difference,”
highlighting important contributions of Latino leaders in all
walks of life. The first annual silent auction will not only
celebrate Latinos in arts and culture, but also raise money for
a worthy cause.
CHCI will accept art contributions, including
wall art, sculptures, tickets to artistic and cultural events,
etc. There is a weight limit for submissions of 50 pounds.
Contributions
are accepted through August 15th.
On Wednesday, September 10th, bidding for the
silent auction will commence during the General Reception of the
CHCI Annual Gala from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Washington
Convention Center. Auction winners will be declared by 9:00 pm.
