Former CHCI Senior Housing Fellow Donates Half of Book Sale Proceeds to Haiti Relief
On January 12, 2010, local chapters of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) held a reception to commemorate the official release of former CHCI's Housing Fellow Alejandro Becerra's book, "Hispanic Homeownership: The Key to America's Housing and Economic Renewal."
Supporters gathered at the Sun Trust Bank Building in Washington, D.C. to learn more about the housing policy expert's critically acclaimed book; it is already receiving praise from top housing experts for its insight declaring it a "must-read" eye-opener for policy makers.
"This book is of immense importance. As a study of housing policies, it is a clear exposition and a call to action," says Henry Cisneros, former HUD Secretary.
To assist with the recent earthquake tragedy in Haiti, housing expert Becerra has agreed to donate half of the book sale proceeds to fund disaster relief.
