Donor Recognition Societies
Appreciation and Thanks
CHCI is grateful to all of the individuals, corporations and foundations whose support provides education, leadership training, and networking opportunities for more than 1,500 young Latinos every year. Donor Society membership is based on an annual commitment that begins once the contribution is committed. Membership in each society is renewable; however, members of the Founder’s Society have a special lifetime distinction as having joined the society as a largest individual-family endowment.
In addition to the benefits offered through your specific giving level, members of donor societies receive a certificate of appreciation and are listed in CHCI’s annual report, both in print and online. Donors also receive regular updates about important CHCI initiatives through our monthly eNews and special communications that keep them up-to-date on the impact their gifts have on CHCI programs and graduates. The most generous donors, whose gifts have a significant impact on our work, are also recognized and honored publicly with a special set of benefits.
Chair's Circle - $1 million +
The most prestigious of CHCI's giving societies—membership in the Chair's Circle—is granted to donors whose foresight and generosity have a transformative impact on CHCI. Members of the Chair's Circle receive a distinctive medallion for display and a matted, framed letter of appreciation from the CHCI Chair. They are invited to a private dinner with the President & CEO and select board members, and maintain a special relationship with CHCI leaders. Members of the Chair's Circle also receive tickets to the exclusive Chair’s private reception at the annual Gala, VIP access to all events, and premier seating at CHCI events and programs throughout the year, including regional receptions around the country.
Founders' Society - $500,000 - $999,999
The Founders Society is named for the three members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus—Congressmen Edward R. Roybal, E. "Kika" de la Garza, and Baltasar Corrada—who established CHCI in 1978. Membership in this society is extended to donors whose contributions help CHCI achieve the high level of excellence to serve the national Hispanic community envisioned by the founders. Members receive a matted, framed letter of appreciation from the CHCI Chair, invitations to special student-focused events, VIP access, and tickets to an annual Society event with select board members and CHCI leadership.
Legacy Leaders -$200,000 – $499,999
CHCI's Legacy Leaders Giving Society honors those companies, foundations, and individuals whose generosity enables CHCI to create and sustain a legacy of young Latino leaders in government and the private sector. Members receive a matted, framed certificate of appreciation signed by the CHCI Chair, invitations to special student-focused events, and tickets to an annual Legacy Leaders event with the President & CEO and select board members.
Visionary Society - $100,000 - $199,999
CHCI's Visionary Society honors the commitment and innovation that helps launch and sustain the many visionary initiatives that strengthen and expand our programs. Members of this esteemed society receive a matted, framed certificate of appreciation signed by the CHCI Chair. They receive invitations to special student-focused events and tickets to an annual Visionary Society event with the President & CEO, CHCI's leadership team and CHCI interns or fellows.
The 1978 Society - $50,000 - $ 99,999
Named for the year CHCI was founded, the 1978 Society embodies the spirit and hope that drive CHCI's success. Members of the society receive a matted, framed certificate acknowledging their commitment to developing the next generation of Latino leaders. They also receive invitations to leadership training sessions and to intern and fellow graduations. 1978 Society Members will receive an invitation to an annual event with CHCI leadership.

- $50 annually for young alumni, within three years of graduation
- $200+ for alumni, within four to five years of graduation
