CHCI Website Sees Continued Growth

CHCI's website logged an impressive 3.8 million hits over the months of December and January, recording more than 133,000 visitors.  More than 60 percent of the traffic occurred inside CHCI's youth directory, demonstrating our successful efforts to reach our target audience and provide critical information to students around the country.

Ready to Lead (R2L) Kicks Off in Miami

CHCI's Ready to Lead Program, in partnership with Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (FL-18), CHCI Board Member, and Cuban American National Council President Guarione Diaz, hosted its first event of the year in Miami on February 21 and 22, 2008.  More than 120 high school students attended to learn about how to prepare for college and become involved in their local communities.  The event was sponsored by USA Funds.
CHCI will host a Ready to Lead session at the University of Texas-San Antonio on Monday, March 3, targeting college students.
