Two Renowned Athletes Team-Up for a Worthy Cause: Scholarship Awards for Latino Youth
 
World Golf Hall of Fame member Juan "Chi Chi" Rodriguez and Pro Football Hall of Famer Anthony Muñoz will participate in CHCI's 14th Annual Fiesta de Golf Scholarship Challenge on Monday, May 3, 2010 at the Courses of Andrews Air Force Base, MD. For the past two years, Rodriguez's participation in the tournament has helped to raise more than $537,000 for CHCI's Scholarship Awards Program.
"I am excited to return to the tournament this year in support of CHCI's scholarship program. I find joy in combining two of my greatest passions - golfing and assisting young Latinos in the pursuit of their dreams," said Chi Chi Rodriguez.
For more than a decade, prominent leaders from around the country have joined efforts with CHCI to make a difference in the lives of young Latinos. And now, CHCI's Fiesta de Golf Scholarship Challenge has garnered support from the professional athlete community.
"I am proud to partner with CHCI in the effort to provide scholarship opportunities for the next generation of Latino leaders," said Anthony Muñoz. This will be Muñoz's fist time participating in the Scholarship Challenge.

- 136 talented Latino students were awarded scholarships in 2009
- 4,318 applications recieved to date from Latino students for the program in 2010
