Laughter echoed throughout the nation's capital as Latino comedians took the stage at the historic Warner Theatre for the CHCI 9th Annual Reyes of Comedy. Reyes of Comedy was co-produced by Sí TV with Patron supporter, Anheuser-Busch Companies, and many more sponsors who contributed to the success of the event. Reyes of Comedy benefits CHCI's nationally recognized leadership development and educational programs.

Reyes of Comedy Featured Special Guests:
GREG GIRALDO is one of the premier comics consistently featured on Comedy Central and has become one of the faces of the network. He most recently appeared on Comedy Central's Root of all Evil and The Gong Show. In the past he was a regular panelist on Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, and has had a half hour comedy special, Comedy Central Presents Greg Giraldo, air on the network. He is most known for being the top roaster on the COMEDY CENTRAL ROASTS. He used to regularly contribute a "rant" segment to Last Call with Carson Daly (NBC) where he provided his unique spin on current events, politics, and family life. Greg also has performed on Late Show with David Letterman (CBS), and he has been a guest on Late Night with Conan O' Brien (NBC) a dozen times. While in New York Greg is known to be a regular at Manhattan clubs-like Gotham Comedy Club and the Comedy Cellar.
JOEY MEDINA once a professional boxer, who fought for the world title and a former police officer, Joey now has his hold on the comedy world. Joey is best known as being one of the stars of Paramount Pictures "The Original Latin Kings of Comedy," with Cheech Marin, Paul Rodriguez, George Lopez and Alex Reymundo. And he is the Star and Morning Show Host of The Morning Invasion on Latino 96.3 FM in Los Angeles. Joey also recently Executive Produced and Starred in his own comedy special and tour titled "Latin Palooza". Joey is a veteran of several television shows on many networks, including HBO, Showtime and Comedy Central. His first screenplay, "El Matador" in which he made his directorial debut, swept the 8th Annual East Los Angeles Chicano Film Festival in 2002 by winning Best Film, Best Director and Best Acting awards. Joey has headlined almost every major club in the country and has also toured Japan, Hong Kong, Germany, Egypt, Israel, and was proud to perform for the US Armed Forces during wartime in Bosnia, Kosovo, Kuwait and Iraq twice.
RUDY MORENO has over 35 television appearances on shows like Showtime's Latino Laugh Festival, he hosted the very popular Que Locos for Galavision & Comedy Central. He has also appeared in dramas such as E.R., L.A. Doctors, and KINGPIN. Rudy has also been on several sitcoms, Everybody Loves Raymond, Cybil, A.U.S.A. and the LUIS show on FOX to name a few. Every year for the past 10 years, Rudy has run the Komics for Kids Toy Drive and has raised over $100,000.00 in toys for different charities. He also has received many awards for his contributions and community charity work. Rudy is currently producing and performing comedy shows around the country.
ERIK RIVERA is a regular on the New York comedy scene and can be seen nightly at The New York Comedy Club, The Comedy Cellar, The Original New York Improv and Boston Comedy Club. When in Los Angeles Rivera has played The Comedy Store and The Laugh Factory. In the summer of 2007 Rivera won the Diamonds in the Rough Award at The Latino Laugh Festival in Hollywood and had the honor of performing to a packed house at the Kodak Theatre along side Carlos Mencia and many other top Latino comedians. Erik's television credits include Funny People After Dark on MTV Networks, SiTV's Urban Jungle 2 and Comedy Central's The Watch List. Rivera also was a series regular on season 16 and 17 of the Emmy Award winning Montel Show as a special correspondent going under cover on humorous adventures. On the big screen he can be seen in the feature films "My Brother" as well as "Stand Up" by award winning director Michael Rainin. Erik's recognizable face can be seen in several National commercials and public service announcements.
CRISTELA ALONZO is a stand-up comedianne/actress originally from San Juan, TX. She began her stand up career in 2003. She met comedian Carlos Mencia while in Dallas and accepted his offer to open for him at the Addison IMPROV. Since then, Cristela traveled as his opening act, became a writer on his Comedy Central show, Mind of Mencia, and was featured on his nationwide "Punisher Tour". She has been a featured comedian on NBC's Last Comic Standing and Comedy Central's Live at Gotham and performed in Sí TV's Latino Laugh Festival and Comedy Central's South Beach Comedy Festival. Aside from stand up, Cristela is an award-winning writer of several short films and has also written for MSN.COM's pop culture calendar Pop of the Day.
