The future of our nation lies in the minds, hands, and power aspirations of young Latinos. Our community’s youth must be educated, civically engaged, and prepared to lead us through the 21st century and beyond.
To close our 2012 Public Policy Conference, we have assembled celebrities, national leaders, and emerging Latino leaders for an interactive discussion to critically examine the issues facing our Latino youth. In particular, the dialogue will address education attainment, civic engagement—with a particular focus on the importance of voting—and the empowerment needed for leadership to take form.
Attendees will leave the session feeling inspired and energized, with a greater understanding of and appreciate for the importance of education and community involvement. Young Latinos will be challeneged to find their voice and prepare for the leadership roles that are ahead of them as our future leaders.
