CHCI Event Planning Process and How To Get Involved
There are Many Ways You Can Help Support The Next Generation of Latino Leaders
CHCI’s annual Hispanic Heritage Month (HHM) events that include our Public Policy Conference, Reyes of Comedy, and Annual Awards Gala are considered the landmark events launching HHM nationally. These events draw attendees from across the nation who are committed to developing the next generation of Latino leaders by contributing to the dialogue at our conference, enjoying the light-hearted spirit of comedy night, and celebrating with us as we award our highest honors to shining stars in our community that define leadership. Each year the HHM Planning Committee composed of CHCI Board and Advisory Council Members develops and guides the planning process for our events. The 2012 HHM Planning Committee members are Rep. Ben Ray Lujan, Chair; Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard; Luis Campillo, Ibarra Strategy Group; and Lidia Martinez, Southwest Airlines.
Here are the ways you can be a part of our premier annual HHM events and support the next generation of Latino leaders:
1) As a sponsor of one or more of our key events throughout the week at the Public Policy Conference, Reyes of Comedy, and the Awards Gala. CHCI’s generous benefits include recognition and access to our key events through conference registrations, invitations to key networking events, and tickets to the gala, or tables at the gala. At our premier levels for each reception or session, two-minute speaking opportunities provide high-profile recognition for our top partners. 2) As an expert speaker invited by the HHM Planning Committee to participate in our high-level conference policy discussions. Once the topics and list of speakers are approved by the HHM Planning Committee, CHCI announces the conference schedule along with the entire week’s events. External recommendations for speakers can be sent to CHCIConference@chci.org for consideration by the HHM Planning Committee in the case that gaps occur in our approved panels based on scheduling conflicts with our invited speakers.
3) As a registrant for our events with the purchase of conference registrations, gala tickets, or gala tables.
