This summit will focus on innovation and clean energy, and using clean energy and energy efficiency initiatives to create jobs in the Latino community. We will explore how to ensure the inclusion of Latinos in the emerging clean energy economy; how we can support healthier, cleaner environments in Latino communities; and how we can empower and train Latinos to be entrepreneurs and members of a high-tech workforce.

This summit will focus on America’s continuing housing crisis, growing wealth-gap, and its impact on Latino families. We will discuss the impact the housing market is having in communities of color—particularly for the fastest growing minority population—as well as how the credit crunch is deferring the American Dream of home-ownership.  Further, panelist will discuss how the economic crisis has affected Latinos with respect to housing foreclosures and the ability for families to save for college.
