The CHCI Annual Awards Gala began in 1977 as a small dinner and has since grown to be the primary fundraising event to help CHCI " Develop the Next Generation of Lation Leaders." With more than 2,000 guests in attendance, the Awards Gala is the premier event in Washington, D.C., commemorating Hispanic Heritage Month.
