2012 Higher Education Graduate Summit- Enrique Soto
As Latinos become the fastest growing minority in the United States, there is a corresponding increase in Hispanic enrollment at institutions of higher education. With limited enrollment space at many public colleges and universities, there is a growing trend in Latino student enrollment at for-profit schools. While for-profit institutions are capable of serving the increasingly diverse population, educational outcomes of Hispanic students enrolling at four-year, for-profit institutions remain stagnantly low.
Join CHCI Higher Education Graduate Fellow Enrique Soto as he leads a discussion on how for-profit institutions affect Latino higher education enrollment and completion.
Opening Remarks: Congressman Ruben Hinojosa (TX-15)
Panelists:
- Jose Cruz - Vice President for Higher Education Policy and Practice
