Since 2008, CHCI and the United Health Foundation have partnered to award over 175 scholarships to students from across the U.S. pursuing a primary health care professional career. The scholar-intern program, started in the second year of the partnership, has allowed scholars the opportunity to complete a paid internship in their community.

CHCI Says Farewell to 98 Latino Leaders During Summer Ceremony

On July 14, CHCI said farewell to its 38 Summer Congressional Interns (CIP)/HEP CAMP Interns and 60 R2L NextGen students from across the country. These 98 future Latino leaders were treated to a dynamic ceremony in the Congressional Auditorium, featuring remarks from former CHCI Chair Rep. Rubén Hinojosa, and Reps. Tony Cárdenas, Michelle Lujan Grisham, and Sheila Jackson Lee.
