One Day Left to Mail in Your Census Form!! |

CHCI encourages you to mail back your 2010 Census form this week to avoid a visit from Census workers. Households that send in their forms after Friday, April 16, may still get visited by census workers when they begin going door-to-door to obtain census information in May. If everyone across the nation mailed back their forms, taxpayers could reduce the cost of taking the census by about $1.5 billion. On the Census Bureau's Take 10 Challenge Map you can track how well your community is participating in the census by seeing what percentage of households have mailed back their census forms. If you have not received a census form in the mail, or think you were left off your household's census form, you can pick up a Be Counted form to ensure you are counted. To find a Be Counted site near you, click here. The census is important to your community! If you have not completed your form, mail it back, or call the Census Bureau's bilingual hotline for help, or to complete the census questions over the phone. It's fast, easy, and important, so be counted! |
