Diversity Takes Center Stage During CHCI's “Tri-Caucus Plenary”

 CHCI is Proud to Unite Once Again for the Tri-Caucus Plenary

Register now for the CHCI Public Policy Conference and be a part of the “Tri-Caucus PlenaryJoin CHC Chair Rep. Rubén Hinojosa, CBC Chair Marcia Fudge, CAPAC Chair Rep. Judy Chu, and Woman’s Caucus Co-Chair Donna Edwards for a historic discussion on how to rebuild the minority middle class and President Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper Initiative, that addresses disparities in success rates for young men of color. The conversation will also explore ways to increase our communities’ presence in areas where they have been routinely underrepresented.

About Hispanic Heritage Month

Our landmark 2014 Hispanic Heritage Month Events will be held September 30 - October 2. For nearly 40 years, CHCI has achieved its mission of Developing the Next Generation of Latino Leaders® through our three pillars of success: EDUCATE, EMPOWER, and CONNECT.

Attendees and guests will include national leaders, elected officials, corporate executives, community activists, educators, entertainers, and media personalities.

At this year’s 37th Annual Awards Gala, television anchor and host, José Díaz-Balart, and union activist, Eliseo Medina, will receive CHCI’s highest honor, the Medallion of Excellence. Juliet V. García, Ph.D. will be awarded the prestigious Chair’s Medallion Award—in recognition of her accomplishments, leadership, and outstanding service to the Latino community.

Attendees and guests will include national leaders, elected officials, corporate executives, community activists, educators, entertainers, and media personalities. The evening’s festivities will conclude with musical entertainment from Grammy Award-winning American Chicano rock band Los Lobos.
