Graduate Fellows Host Successful Young Latino Leaders Summit Series, Release White Papers
The CHCI 2010-2011 Graduate Fellowship class gathered national experts and members of Congress as they presented their white papers during the Young Latino Leaders Summit Series on April 13-14 at the U.S. Capitol Visitors Center. The fellows led a series of expert panels on critical issues impacting the Latino community in their respective areas of expertise – education, health, housing, law, and science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
Reps. Mike Honda, Rubén Hinojosa, Ben Ray Lujan and Lucille Roybal-Allard participated in the summits, lending their expertise and knowledge of current policies affecting Latinos. CHCI's Young Latino Leaders Summit Series is the culmination of its premier, nine-month Graduate Fellowship Program each year.
