CHCI Launches New Web Site/Communication Center

CHCI Unveils New Web Site/Communication Center To Better Serve Latino Youth

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI), the nation's premier Latino youth leadership development and educational organization, today officially launched its state of the art communication center featuring a fresh new look and feel, increased user-friendliness, and enhanced navigation and access to information through direct links to CHCI programs and audience-specific content areas.  The site is sponsored by Verizon and Nissan.

CHCI.org visitors can now register a "My CHCI" personal account and donate online, in amounts as low as $25, with just a click of the button. Registered users will also receive e-mail updates and news alerts on CHCI programs, events and special announcements.

"This new technology platform will allow CHCI to extend its outreach and ensure that talented young Latinos have access to the tools they need to attain a higher education and embark on a successful professional career," said Esther Aguilera, CHCI President & CEO.  "It is essential that the Institute remains on the cutting edge of technology and engaged in the online interactive communities where our constituents live, work and play."

CHCI's enhanced navigation provides unique links designed for students, parents, donors, alumni, and board of directors.  It also provides in-depth information on its fellowship, internship, scholarship, and college prep programs, along with a wealth of resources to help young Latinos succeed in college.

"Verizon is proud to support CHCI's new web site that provides enhanced content and navigation to Latino youth, parents, and educators looking for educational opportunities," said Emilio Gonzalez, Vice President for Public Policy and Strategic Alliances at Verizon.  "With the Latino youth population expected to increase significantly in the next twenty years, Verizon's investment in CHCI's new web platform will allow the organization to continue meeting the needs of its growing constituency."
