For the first time in CHCI history, five Senators from the Gang of Eight and five Representatives from the House Working Group came together for one of the most powerful sessions of the CHCI Public Policy Conference, the Immigration Plenary.

The first part of the event was moderated by Senator Robert Menendez, and featured a historic bipartisan conversation about immigration reform between Senators Michael Bennet, Richard Durbin, John McCain, and Chuck Schumer.

The second half of the plenary was led by Rep. Luis V. Gutierrez, joined by fellow members of the House Working Group: Representatives Xavier Becerra, Mario Diaz-Balart, Zoe Lofgren and John Yarmuth.

The CHCI Immigration Plenary was made possible by the generous support of Service Employee International Union (SEIU).
