Secretaries Kathleen Sebelius and Hilda Solis to Address 2010 CHCI Public Policy Conference

 

Join the most influential Latino leaders in America next month at the 2010 CHCI Public Policy Conference as we celebrate the 200th anniversary of independence for many Central and South American countries and the 400th anniversary of the founding of Sante Fe in 1610 - History and Heritage. The contributions, struggles, challenges, and successes of the Latino community across the nation will be highlighted throughout the week - the American Dream.  The conference is hosted by AstraZeneca.

Held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center - NEW LOCATION - in Washington, D.C., on September 12-14, 2010, Members of Congress, cabinet secretaries, and national experts will lead discussions on corporate responsibility, education, economy and workforce, financial services, green economy, health and health care reform, immigration reform, international relations, labor, redistricting, and technology.

Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis will join CHCI Chair Nydia M. Velázquez and Rep. Xavier Becerra at the Opening Plenary -- America's Future: Economic Prosperity -- on Monday, September 13.

Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius is confirmed to give the keynote address at the Morning Plenary -- America's Promise: The Impact of Healthcare Reform -- on Tuesday, September 14.
