CHCI's High School Latino Leaders in D.C. Program is an exciting opportunity available to students from select geographic areas where Ready to Lead (R2L) events have been held. This page can provide you more information for Dallas students interested in applying for the program. I live in the Dallas area. How do I know if I'm eligible? Not sure what county you live in? Click the links to visit each county's website, which list all the towns within it. While attendance at the Dallas Ready to Lead event (taking place in April 21, 2012) is not required in order to apply, attendance at Ready to Lead will be considered during the selection process. In addition to meeting one of the geographic requirements, students must:
- Be a current 9th, 10th, or 11th grade student
- Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
- Demonstrate interest in learning more about civic engagement
While we do require applicants share their grades and a copy of their transcript, there is no minimum GPA requirement to apply.
