Miami Applicants

CHCI's High School Latino Leaders in D.C. Program is an exciting opportunity available to students from select geographic areas where Ready to Lead (R2L) events have been held. This page can provide you more information for Miami area students interested in applying for the program.

I live in the Miami area. How do I know if I'm eligible?
In order to be eligible to apply, students from the Miami area must attend a Miami-Dade County Public Schools high school. This includes public high schools, charter schools, career academies, and magnet schools. For a complete list, please click here.

In addition to meeting one of the geographic requirements, students must:

Be a current 9th, 10th, or 11th grade student
Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
Demonstrate interest in learning more about civic engagement

Students attend Miami Ready to Lead in May 2011.

While we do require applicants share their grades and a copy of their transcript, there is no minimum GPA requirement to apply.
