Phoenix Applicants

CHCI's High School Latino Leaders in D.C. Program is an exciting opportunity available to students from select geographic areas where Ready to Lead (R2L) events have been held. This page can provide you more information for Phoenix area students interested in applying for the program. I live in the Phoenix area. How do I know if I'm eligible? Not sure what county you live in? Click the link to visit the county website, which list all the towns within it. While attendance at the Phoenix Ready to Lead event (held on February 9, 2013) is not required in order to apply, attendance at Ready to Lead will be considered during the selection process. In addition to meeting one of the geographic requirements, students must:
- Be a current 9th, 10th, or 11th grade student
- Demonstrate interest in learning more about civic engagement
While we do require applicants share their grades and a copy of their transcript, there is no minimum GPA requirement to apply.
Interested in applying? Visit apply.chci.org and complete the application named "High School Latino Leaders in D.C. - Phoenix Applicants." Applications must be completed by April 8, 2013 at 11:59 pm Eastern Standard Time. That's 8:59 pm Mountain Standard Time!
