Dallas Applicants

CHCI's High School Latino Leaders in D.C. Program is an exciting opportunity available to students from select geographic areas where Ready to Lead (R2L) events have been held. This page can provide you more information for Dallas students interested in applying for the program.

I live in the Dallas area. How do I know if I'm eligible?
In order to be eligible to apply, students must live in one of the following counties:

While attendance at the Dallas Ready to Lead event (taking place on April 27, 2013) is not required in order to apply, attendance at Ready to Lead will be considered during the selection process. For more information about Ready to Lead, click here.

2012 Dallas High School Latino Leaders in D.C. participants.

In addition to meeting one of the geographic requirements, students must:

Be a current 9th, 10th, or 11th grade student
Demonstrate interest in learning more about civic engagement

While we do require applicants share their grades and a copy of their transcript, there is no minimum GPA requirement to apply.

Please note: In order to provide participants an opportunity to attend the Ready to Lead at UT Arlington on April 27, 2013, the Dallas Applications are due Monday, May 13, 2013 at 11:59 pm Eastern Time.
