New York Applicants

CHCI's High School Latino Leaders in D.C. Program is an exciting opportunity available to students from select geographic areas where Ready to Lead (R2L) events have been held. This page can provide you more information for New York area students interested in applying for the program.

I live in the New York City area. How do I know if I'm eligible? In order to be eligible to apply, students from New York must reside in one of the five boroughs of New York City:

Bronx
Brooklyn
Manhattan
Queens
Staten Island

In addition to meeting one of the geographic requirements, students must:

Be a current 9th, 10th, or 11th grade student
Demonstrate interest in learning more about civic engagement

NYC 2012 High School Latino Leaders in D.C. participants.

While we do require applicants share their grades and a copy of their transcript, there is no minimum GPA requirement to apply.
