Escuela Diplomatica of Madrid: Master's in Diplomacy and International Relations

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) in collaboration with the Spanish Embassy in Washington, DC, and the Escuela Diplomatica of Madrid, Spain is recruiting students to apply to the Escuela Diplomatica's Master's in Diplomacy and International Relations program. The selected individual will receive full tuition.

Applicants must be fluent in Spanish (speaking, reading and writing) as all lectures and course work will be in conducted in Spanish.

Application Deadline: Friday, February 19, 2010.

SEPARATE PROCESS: Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AECID) Scholarship
Students interested in securing funding for room and board (university dorms; 945 Euros value) and living expenses (600 Euros monthly) while in Madrid can apply with the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AECID) at www.becasmae.es

AECID Scholarship Deadline: Monday, February 8, 2010.
* Please note that the AECID scholarship deadline is prior to the application deadline.

Eligibility Criteria for Escuela Diplomatica Master's in Diplomacy and International Relations program

  • Applicants must have earned a Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited educational institution
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • U.S. citizenship


Selection Process
CHCI will identify up to five candidates to submit to the Escuela Diplomatica for review. The Escuela Diplomatica will select one candidate to receive the full tuition scholarship.
