Antwaan Randle El was selected in the second round of the 2002 NFL Draft by the Pittsburg Steelers. He was originally slated to play quarterback, which was his primary position during a stellar college career. However, the Steelers moved him to the wide receiver position where Randle El enjoyed success as one of the NFL’s top kickoff and punt returners. One of the crowning achievements of his career came during Super Bowl XL when he completed a game-clinching 43-yard double reverse touchdown pass to fellow Wide Receiver Hines Ward. He was the third non-quarterback and the first (and so far, only) receiver to throw a touchdown pass in the Super Bowl. He joined the Redskins in 2006 as one of the most sought-after free agents that year. After a three-year stint in Washington, Randle EL returned to Pittsburg for his final season which ended with another Super Bowl appearance (Super Bowl XLV). These days, Antwaan heads up The EL Foundation– a foundation that supports underserved children and their families across the country.
