2013 Young Latino Leaders Summit Series

Join the 2012-13 CHCI Graduate Fellows and special guests on April 15 for insightful and timely discussions on critical issues affecting the Latino community and the nation.

During the Summit Series, each fellow organizes and moderates a public policy roundtable discussion on a topic from their specific areas of focus—education, health, housing, law, or STEM. These discussions are held on Capitol Hill, where members of Congress, Congressional staffers, public policy experts, national leaders and other changemakers are invited to attend.

We’d love to bring high school students from your community to D.C., but we need your help to fund this important program. Since the HSLLDC program is made possible at no cost to our student participants, applicants are only sought from regions where CHCI has dedicated financial support.

If you are interested in having individuals from your community participate in this program, please contact Lori Crowe at lcrowe@chci.org. We are willing to work collaboratively to identify partners, businesses, or foundations in your local community that may be interested in sponsoring future Latino leaders.

About CHCI

In 1978, a small group of Hispanic Members of Congress established CHCI with the vision of bringing the promise of the American Dream to the next generation of Latinos. CHCI was founded on three cornerstones for success: education attainment and college access, leadership development, and access to a powerful network of Latino leaders.

Today, CHCI is the nation’s premier Hispanic nonprofit and nonpartisan 501 (c)(3) leadership organization that develops the next generation of Latino leaders by building upon those same three cornerstones.

For 36 years, CHCI has empowered strong, effective, and committed Latino leaders who are actively changing the economic and public policy landscape in the United States. In 2013 we honor this legacy as we celebrate Our Time: A Strong America.
